FRESHFIELD MARK LODGE 1007
White Table Event 20th December

Well Brethren, our long awaited and planned event has finally arrived.
Arriving at Southport for tonight’s presentation is the culmination of the excellent work that has been put in to this event,  our Pr.G.Sec. Kevin, has endeavoured to make this a success, ably assisted by our excellent Special Representative,  V.W.Bro Maurice.
The Lodge was opened at 6pm, and  called off at 6.15.
W.Bro Roy Hedges then presented the A.P.G.M to the WM, W Bro Ian Tupling.
Seventeen Craft Brethren where admitted and welcomed by the W.M.
Questions and answers then followed.
A presentation entitled , “ Magic of the Mark” was given  by W. Bro Kevin Chicken, and received with aplomb.

The A.P.G.M and the Special Representative  added a few observations.

There being no further business, the A.P.G.M and Craft Masons where invited to retire.

The Lodge was resumed.

Mike and Maurice chatted informally with the Craft Brethren.

Well Brethren. If you have never been to a Freshfield Christmas festive board, you’re missing out.
After an excellent fish and chips supper, the brethren welcomed in the Marshside Brass Band, accompanied by W.Bro. Roger Watkinson on piano, who had handed out hymn books.

Then followed 30 mins of excellent music and singing, enjoyed by all.

W Bro. Mike. In his response to the toast to Grand Lodge, presented a cheque for £100 to Richard Jenkinson.
This excellent  cheque from the West Lancashire Mark Province, was donated to the Southport children’s Christmas party, of which Richard is a committee member.

The cheque was warmly received and we were all assured it will be put to good use this Sunday.

The W M then wished everyone,
“Merry Christmas and a Happy  New Year to you all”,
And may I now offer seasons greetings to you all.
See you in 2025.
Roy.
